Our mission
Honoring Kris Miller by bringing our community together to support compassionate hospice care and future nursing scholarships for local students.
Where support goes
Kris's care at the end of her life, and her belief in the people who provide that care, shaped both of these commitments.
Our first commitment is to support the work of The Hospice House in Tacoma, where Kris and our family received extraordinary care. Funds raised are directed toward comfort, family support, and the everyday needs that make a hospice house feel like a home.
We are building a scholarship fund for graduating high school students from the Gig Harbor and Tacoma area who plan to study nursing or another caregiving profession. The nurses who cared for Kris changed what her last weeks felt like; this is how we help the next generation get there.
Award amounts, eligibility, and application dates are finalized with each school year and published on our scholarships page.
